This Sunday, June 10th FWE premier artist, Alkebulan, Will be riding in the official FWE float in the National Puerto Rican Day Parade of 2007. Sure, the rest of Manhattan will be there too…well, maybe accept the residents of 5th avenue who actually live there. But hey, who needs them when you’ve got their neighborhood for a day!
Alkebulan herself was born of Puerto Rican parents. As the god daughter of famous Latin musician Eddie Palmieri, Alkebulan hasn’t lost touch with her Latin American heritage. Alkebulan will be traveling in front of the FWE processional complete with sash and back-up dancers…that’s right, back-up dancers.
